SMMT boss to leave

Christopher Macgowan, chief executive at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders will leave at the end of the year with business as usual for the next seven months.
“It has been a privilege working for the industry and I have enjoyed every minute of my nine years with the Society,” said Macgowan.

Graham Smith, SMMT president said: “Christopher has made a “big contribution” to the industry and the Society. “We will miss him and he will not be an easy act to follow.”
