New head for Imer Access

Imer has announced the departure of Paolo Pianigiani, director of its Access division, at the end of the year.

His role will be filled by Matteo Iori from the start of the new year. He has headed the service and Customer Care division of the company for the past four years, while also taking care of sales in Northern Italy. He joined Imer in 2007 as part of the after sales team, having previously worked with Iveco.

The company said: “As part of this change, we are taking the opportunity to integrate functions in order to make the organisation even more customer oriented. The commercial management will now also be responsible for Customer Care. We would also like to thank Paolo Pianigiani for his hard work and dedication to Imer and wish him all the best for the future."

Speaking of his new role Iori said: “First of all I would like to thank Paolo Pianigiani for what he has shared with me in these last 11 years of working together. Secondly thanks to Paolo Salvadori for believing in me and for this opportunity, I will do my best to keep Imer Group where it deserves to be together with my fantastic team.”

Paolo Pianigiani joined Imer in 2000 as sales and marketing manager, long before it entered the access market and acquired Iteco. In 2005 he became strategic marketing manager and played a key role in the acquisition of Iteco in 2009 - See: Imer buys Iteco.

During his time with the company, he was responsible for the establishing a number of the company’s overseas subsidiaries, including those in Mexico, Russia, and has managed Imer Access since it was established in 2011, during which time he has become well known throughout the access world. In 2020 he was appointed chairman of the IPAF Italian Country Council.
