Imer expands Kahn's remit

The aerial lift division of Imer has promoted Bernhard Kahn to a more senior role in the group, adding the additional responsibility for Nordic countries for aerial lifts and equipment.
He joined the company last year as business development manager for its access and equipment divisions in Germany and Austria, adding Switzerland later. Since then, he has appointed Sahalift as Imer scissor lift distributor for Germany and Austria and Up Ag for end users in Switzerland.

In Scandinavia, Imer says it is "looking for strong distribution partners" while handling major accounts directly. Kahn will kick off his new responsibilities by exhibiting at the upcoming Dansk Liftmesse exhibition in Denmark, in partnership with local dealer TeamTruck, which will display its scissor lifts as well as a 20 metre IM 20 DA spider lift.

Imer chief executive Paolo Salvatori said: “By expanding Bernhard Kahn’s responsibilities to include Scandinavia, we are entrusting one of the most experienced experts in our industry with a key role for our European expansion and sending a strong signal for further growth in Europe. The company’s goal is to strengthen its position as the alternative manufacturer for access equipment that is ‘Made in Europe’. We are convinced that together with him, Imer will achieve sustainable growth in these new regions.”

Commercial director Matteo Iori added: “Bernhard Kahn combines technical expertise with an exceptional instinct for products — not without reason is he regarded in the industry as a true ‘product nerd’. This passion fits perfectly with Imer and our ambition to develop the most innovative solutions in access equipment technology. Bernhard’s contribution since joining shortly before bauma 2025 has been instrumental in the rapid development of our market strategy in the German speaking markets. Expanding his responsibilities is the logical next step.”

Kahn said: “Imer stands for innovation, quality and European engineering excellence. Our goal is to be recognised as the alternative manufacturer for access equipment that is made in Europe, and we will continue to strengthen this position in the years ahead. I look forward to further expanding Imer’s success story together with our teams and partners — from the Alps to the North Cape.”

The Imer group operates five production facilities - four in Italy and one in Turkey - and employs more than 700 people across its four divisions: Equipment, Access, Concrete and Kato Imer earthmoving equipment.
