New heavy lift partnership in Qatar

Turkish heavy lift and transport company Hareket has formed a strategic alliance with the logistics division of Qatari company Milaha. The aim of the partnership is to offer customers in the energy, infrastructure and industrial market sectors a full range of heavy lifting and project transportation services throughout Qatar.

Hareket was founded in Turkey in 1957 to provide engineered heavy lift and transportation services. In the year’s since it has carried out projects across Turkey as well as the Caspian region, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Milaha - or Qatar Navigation to give its full legal title - was also established in 1957 and was the first public company in Qatar. Today it is one of the largest and most diversified companies in the Middle East. Its activities include marine transportation for gas, petroleum products and containers as well as offshore support and shipyard services, port operations and management, along with general logistics, various trading agencies, real estate investments and asset management.
