15 more Terex cranes for MCT

Mayer’s Cars & Trucks (MCT) - the Terex tower crane distributor for Israel - has added a further 15 cranes to a previous order for 11 units confirmed at the end of last year. The 26 new cranes are intended to help MCT keep up with a growing demand for tower cranes in the country.

Mayer's was appointed last March and in the 12 months since has made a significant impact on the market.

The new order includes a variety of flat top and luffing jib tower cranes including the brand new 12 tonne CTT 292-12 with a jib length of up to 70 metres and a jib tip capacity of just over three tonnes. The CTT 292-12 incorporates the latest Terex technology including Terex Power Plus and Power Match functions. It also boasts T-torque slewing technology, a new cab with outstanding visibility and comfort and can be equipped with T-Link telematics.

The order is agreed - (L-R)Igor Kogelman of MCT, Marco Romanin and Flavio Bazzana of Terex, with Shneor Hurvitz of MCT, Bartosz Irzyniec and Lee Maynard of Terex, and Idan Peri of MCT

Mayer’s said: “We are delighted to partner with Terex tower cranes to strengthen our product offering in Israel. Terex cranes’ new technology helps our customers improve their safety and increase the efficiency in their production.”

Terex sales manager Bartosz Irzyniec added: “This order is the culmination of a relatively short, but fruitful relationship with Mayer’s from our first phone call in February 2021. It also highlights the significant opportunity for tower cranes in Israel, a relatively new market for us and one that we have tremendous interest in developing.”

Family owned MCT is based in Rishon Le Tsiyon on the south side of Tel Aviv and was founded in 1967 as a Volvo car distributor by the late Mayer Kass. It later added Volvo trucks and now also offers Volvo construction equipment. It is the second largest automotive group in Israel and its non-automotive activities include insurance and real estate. The group employs around 2,500, operating from a national network of sales locations with more than 60 service centres and workshops.
