Bronto duo for Becker

German rental company Paul Becker has taken delivery of two new Bronto Skylift truck mounted work platforms - a 56 metre S56 XR and 70 metre S70 XR.

The SX70 XR becomes the second highest machine in the company’s fleet, just behind a 72 metre Ruthmann T720 machine from 2014. The machine has 37 metres of outreach and a maximum platform capacity of 600kg. It is equipped with a 400kg platform-mounted lifting winch and can be equipped with a 1.2 tonne lifting attachment.

The company confirmed its order for the two platforms at Bauma last October, having had the chance to look them over. It is one of the first rental companies in Germany receive them.

Managing director Harald Becker and senior manager Vanessa Binz said: "The high quality of the truck mounted work platforms and the relatively fast availability helped convince us. We also liked the proportional CAN-BUS controls and remote trouble shooting feature. The working envelope automatically adjusts to the load in the basket and the outrigger footprint and is shown directly on the display, which means that it is no longer necessary to test the position - this saves time and enables particularly efficient work."
