Maxim boosts leadership team

US rental company Maxim Crane Works has appointed three new executives to its executive leadership team.

They include Rebecca Bolchalk who has been appointed chief Human Resources officer, David Reed who becomes vice president of Information Technology, while Nick Oldfield has been promoted to the new role of vice president digital and marketing.

Nick Oldfield joined Maxim as marketing director at the start of 2021, having previously worked in a similar role with Cohen Recycling in Cincinnati. He started out in 2005 as a Public Relations intern with the Brandon Agency, before joining Wexner Center for the arts later that year with responsibility for marketing communications. Further short spells were spent with the City of Middleton, Ohio, EyeMed Vision Care, New Media Digital and United Health Group, returning to EyeMed as senior marketing specialist in 2008. In 2010 he moved to Pearle Vison, and was promoted to digital marketing manager two years later. He left for Cincinnati Insurance in 2017, where he was appointed marketing director. He made the move to Cohens in late 2018. In his new role with Maxim he reports to chief executive Paul McDonnell who said: “Our digital and marketing initiatives are critical to our go-forward strategy. I’m confident Nick’s experience will help elevate our brand across our customer touchpoints, in partnership with the sales team, operations, and IT.”

Nick Oldfield


Rebecca Bolchalk. joins Maxim from Belgian international aviation and airport apron component manufacturer ADBSAFEGATE, where she has worked in a similar role for the past four years. She began her career as an HR supervisor for Caterpillar Logistics in 2001, leaving in 2005 for coffin and funeral specialist Batesville Casket Company where she served as HR director for more than nine years before moving to retailer LR Brands /Victoria’s Secret where she held similar role. She left for ADBSAFEGATE in 2019. She also reports to Paul McDonnell, who said: “Our most important asset is our people, and Becky brings a wealth of experience driving change across multiple industries that will serve us well as we work to become the employer of choice in the crane industry.”

Rebecca Bolchalk


David Reed joined Maxim in September after more than six years with Gateway Health where he served in a similar role. He began his career in 2003 as a consultant IT manager with Pharmacy Healthcare Solutions, also working with other local companies as a system administrator, working full time with Gateway from 2018. He reports to Maxim chief financial officer Sean Collopy who said: “David’s track record of building information technology teams that add value across an organisation made him an ideal choice for this role. Information Technology is fundamental to enabling our team to deliver an industry leading customer experience.”
