New training role at Safeworks

SafeWorks has promoted John Purtle to the newly created position of training manager, with responsibility for the development and skill improvement of SafeWorks’ employees as well as the execution of technical training programmes for the company’s customer base.

SafeWorks currently offers: Competent Person training, technician training and training for specialty applications.

Prior to joining SafeWorks in 1996 as product support manager in the Power Climber division, Purtle managed the suspended access fleet for Ivy Hi Lift in Las Vegas. Since 2005 he has been customer service manager where he has managed SafeWorks’ Operations and Service Centres in addition to supervising the Product Support function.

Joe Salter, director of human resources at Safeworks said: “John brings 16 years of industry experience and extensive credentials to this role. Hundreds of capable technicians maintaining SafeWorks’ equipment nationwide consistently rank John’s instruction as first-rate.
