Who’s buying Bobcat?

Analysts are predicting that Ingersoll Rand will become a prime and vulnerable target for private equity companies once it has shed its Bobcat business as planned.

While no one is making any comments on how negotiations for the sale are going, Terex remains the favourite to buy the famous manufacturer of Skid Steer loaders and telehandlers.

Other contenders are said to include John Deere and Cerebus a private equity business, although Hyundai’s name has also been mentioned.
