First Potain MCT 565A delivered

The first compact/short jib 32 tonne Potain MCT 565 A flat top tower crane has been delivered to a project in Singapore.

Announced last June, the compact ‘A’ version of the MCT 565 can be rigged with a shorter jib and shorter counter-jibs, while achieving higher lift capacities. The concept was announced in June 2022, with the first units shipping last month. The new crane has gone to work on a jobsite with three residential tower blocks which are expected to be completed by June 2025.

Johnny Kuah, Manitowoc’s regional sales manager for tower cranes said: “The Potain MCT 565 A crane is a perfect choice for this first project as its compact design and its shorter counter-jib make it ideal for congested jobsites, where space is at a premium. In Singapore, we have many of these sites.”
