Sunbelt buys in California

Sunbelt Rentals in the US has acquired the equipment rental assets of Elms Equipment Rental in California.

Elms was founded in 1966 and is based in Brawley near the central southern border with Mexico, just opposite Mexicali. It also has locations in Indio and El Centro, California. Its fleet included a wide orange of equipment including aerial lifts and telehandlers.

Sunbelt will take over all of the regular equipment rental fleet, the staff involved with that business and will operate from Elms three locations under the Sunbelt Rentals banner.

The rest of the company will change its name to Elms Equipment and will focus on mining and quarrying equipment, including materials/aggregate machinery and mining trucks etc…
