CTE and Genie finalise telehandler distribution

CTE has agreed to distribute Genie telehandlers in Italy and the former Yugoslavian countries Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, and Bosnia as predicted by C&A in April.

CTE has been the sole distributor for Genie products in Italy and more recently the countries that made up Yugoslavia for more than 25 years.

It was thought that at Bauma, the partnership would not only be renewed but also that it was to be extended to include the Genie range of telescopic handlers manufactured at the Umbertide plant in Italy. CTE's depots in Rovereto, Dolo and Milan will be responsible for sales and after sales services.

"We expect the biggest selling telehandler to be the GTH 2506," says Giuseppe Maniero, CTE’s sales manager for Italy. "It is the smallest and lightest machine in the whole market in its category for load capacity and reach. This is one of the reasons why hire plant contractors are so enthusiastic about it."
