The crawler crane which was rigged with a lot of boom, flipped over sideways

Thankfully it was only the cranes jib that reached the road and it only caught one vehicle, crashing across the back of a car driven by a woman travelling alone. She stepped out unhurt. The crane operator was taken to hospital, apparently with minor injuries.

The crane, which is owned by Phoenix Crane Rental of Mableton, Atlanta, was working for Rome-based Brooks Building Group, was rigged with a long main boom plus fly jib and was lifting a set of steel beems which it was derricking towards the road.when it started to go over.

Reports claim that at least one man was 'riding' the beams and escaped unscathed.
