New CEO for Vp

Neil Stothard, chief executive of UK rental group Vp, owner of telehandler rental company UK Forks, low level access company MEP and general rental business Brandon Hire, has decided to retire from the company at the end of September.
Neil Stothard is to retire at the end of September

He joined the company as group finance director in 1997, when Vp was still Vibroplant, he previously worked as finance director for travel group Gray Dawes. He was promoted to managing director/chief executive in 2004.
The group’s chief financial officer Anna Bielby, who formally joined the company at the start of January, will take over and has already started working with Stothard on the transition, meanwhile the recruitment process to find a new CFO has begun.

Chairman Jeremy Pilkington said: "I want to record my personal thanks to Neil for his service to the Company and me since joining Vp in 1997 as group finance director and in 2004 assuming the role of Managing Director and subsequently Chief Executive. Working with Neil to exit the general plant hire sector to focus on a specialist rental offering created the platform for our continued success and growth. Neil's dedication and strong leadership has been central to Vp's prosperity and enables us to look to the future with confidence and optimism.”

"We have achieved a great deal over the years with Neil at the helm and on behalf of everyone at Vp I want to wish him the very best in his retirement."

“My fellow directors and I would also like to welcome Anna as our new CEO, she has been a great addition to the board since her appointment in January and our decision to appoint her as chief executive was an easy one.”
