Tadano HK 4.070-1 for Pluimers

Dutch rental company Pluimers Kraanverhuur has taken delivery of a new 70 tonne Tadano HK 4.070-1 truck mounted crane on a four axle Volvo chassis with steered trailing rear axle.

The crane features a five section 41 metre main boom plus a nine metre swingaway extension. With 10.1 tonnes of counterweight installed it can handle 55.6 tonnes at a three metre radius and 19.2 tonnes at an eight metre radius.

Managing director Willard Pluimers said: “We chose this particular crane mainly because it’s a lot more cost effective to buy and operate than an All Terrain, given the sorts of jobs we intend to use it for. It’s also very simple to operate. The Tadano Smart Chart system also increases the available lifting capacity to the point where we can even use the HK 4.070-1 for lifts in the 80 tonne class.”

Based in Rijssen to the east of Apledoorn, Pluimers runs a crane fleet from 45 to 150 tonnes, including All Terrains and mobile self-erecting tower cranes.
