A crane operator had a lucky escape this week when the crawler crane he was working with overturned on a site in Waterford, Ireland.
The crane, which appears to be a 50 tonne Hitachi lattice, was working for BAM construction on the Waterford North Quays development. It was apparently installing sheet piles on Tuesday morning when the ground appears to have given way causing the bank to collapse and the crane to go over. Thankfully the operator was unhurt.
