110t Tadano for Klar

Bavarian rental company Autokrane Klar has taken delivery of a 110 tonne Tadano AC 4.110-1.

Launched in 2021, the four axle AC 4.110.21 features a seven section 60 metre boom topped by a 10.1 to 17.4 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which can be extended to 31.9 metres and includes a short ‘runner’ option, with up to 60 degrees of offset, and a maximum tip height of 91.5 metres.

The crane, which replaces a 100 tonne Tadano ATF 100 G4, can manage 10 tonnes on the fully extended boom at a four metre radius. The 84.7 degree maximum boom angle, can prove handy on tight work sites and working at greater heights. The unit was also ordered with an auxiliary winch.

Managing proprietor Stefan Klar said: “In this class, we already had an ATF 100 G4, and we are more than happy with its performance and reliability. That is why we chose the successor model, the AC 4.110-1, which is better than the original in every respect. Even with 24 tonnes of counterweight onboard, it measures only 2.75 metres in width. What’s more, it maintains a counterweight tailswing radius of just 3.8 metres even with the full 30.4 tonnes of counterweight on board."

“The heavy lift runner is also important because we plan to use this crane mainly for lifting prefabricated building elements and building facades. It’s perfect for that kind of work right out of the box, and even more so with the optional equipment.”

Autokrane Klar is based in Sankt Wolfgang to the east of Munich and runs a fleet of cranes from 35 tonnes right up to a 400 tonne Tadano.
