ZPMC wins orders for 94 cranes

Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (ZPMC) has won orders for 94 port cranes.
DP World has ordered a further 15 ship to shore (STS) and 32 rail mounted gantry (RMG) cranes from ZPMC for the new T2 terminal in Jebel Ali.

This order at Jebel Ali in Dubai, UAE is a second phase of a project which began some years ago. Jebel Ali Port in Dubai was the first to implement tandem lift STS cranes and has 15 STS and 32 RMG cranes. With the new order this takes the total to 29 STS and 60 RMG cranes for the terminal.

ZPMC has also received an order for 11 STS and 36 RMG cranes for Busan New Port’s Hyundai Merchant Marine terminal, Korea.

Siemens will supply equipment for all 94 cranes including Simatic S7 programmable logic controllers, low voltage switchgear, main drive motors, Simovert Masterdrives variable speed drives, Simosec medium voltage switchgear and Geafol medium voltage transformers.
