UK rental company Emerson Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.2, the first in a two crane order.
The four axle crane features a seven section 60 metre main boom, and a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with manual offset, for a maximum tip height of almost 80 metres. Other features include VarioBase variable outrigger set up, full remote control system for all superstructure functions and has been ordered with biodegradable hydraulic oil. The crane can carry all of its 22.5 tonnes of counterweight under the UK’s STGO rules allowing up to 16.5 tonne axle loadings.

Managing director Liam Clancy said: “The arrival of our new LTM 1090-4.2 is the third to join our fleet. The crane also strengthens our customer offering in the 60 to 130 tonne range and is a great investment for the business with its excellent lifting capabilities and VarioBase technology. We have one final exciting delivery for 2023 which we are looking to forward receiving next month.”
Emerson runs a fleet of more than 60 cranes including half a dozen mini crawler and spider cranes from its three locations in Dagenham, Basildon and Iver in Greater London.
