Bobcat forklifts

Bobcat is to put its name and branding on a range of forklift trucks from the start of the new year.

The products will essentially be Bobcat branded versions of those built by sister company Doosan Industrial Vehicle. The Bobcat line will include diesel forklift trucks with capacities from two to 16 tonnes, a series of LPG forklift trucks from two to seven tonnes and a line of electric forklift trucks from 1.2 to 10 tonnes. The range will be rounded out with warehouse handling products such as pallet trucks, stackers and reach trucks.

The roots of the Doosan fork truck can be traced back to 1968 when Daewoo began building forklifts in South Korea. The Daewoo product line and business was acquired by Doosan in 2005, with Doosan Industrial Vehicles established in 2011 as part of Doosan Infracore. This became Doosan Bobcat and was adopted in 2021 and included two fork truck factories, one in Incheon, Korea and the other in Yanta, China, along with a plant in Lübben, Germany where pallet trucks and stackers are made. The company is currently active in more than 90 countries.
