News has reached us of two fatal incidents that occured on Monday in which two people died after being struck by loads that fell on them from a crane.
The one we know most about occurred in Milan, Italy where a man, 28, was crushed by steel formwork which broek free from a tower crane.
The incident occurred on a construction site near Milan's central train station. According to the emergency services, the deceased was one of several men working on the site installing or removing formwork before or after a concrete pour. The man is said to have died instantly.

The other incident occurred in Kuwait, when a truck crane working over the rear, overturned with the load that it was lifting into a building landing on the man guiding it into place. We are still trying to corroborate the facts of this incident and will post a separate report when we have more details.
