Palfinger has opened a new sales and service location in the greater Stockholm area, in Sweden.
The new 4,000 square metre depot opened this month in Jordbro, to the south of Stockholm, the facility includes five fully equipped service bays, offices, training and conference rooms and plenty of yard space. It replaces the previous Stockholm South branch in Segeltorp on the south west side of the capital.

The move follows Palfinger’s acquisition of its Swedish distributor Hinz in late 2020. Borlänge based Hinz operated from five locations, including two depots in the greater Stockholm region - Kallhäll on the north west side of the city and, along with Gothenburg and Malmö. 120 guests attended the recent opening ceremony, including former owners, the Hinz family.
Senior vice president global sales & service Gerhard Sturm said: “While other companies are withdrawing from some markets, we are increasing our service presence and thus focusing even better on our customers and their needs in our core regions, such as Stockholm. It is our strategy to be as close to the customer as possible. We want to establish and expand long term and successful partnerships by further strengthening our position as number 1 in Sweden,”
