Speaking of his departure he said: “As I announce my resignation from Sinoboom Europe, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunities and experiences I've gained during my time here. After careful consideration, I have decided to pursue new challenges and opportunities. I am proud of the work we've accomplished together, and I leave with fond memories and respect for my colleagues. I look forward to the next chapter in my career. Thank you all for your support.”
José Miguel Peña began his access career in 1991 as a sales representative with Talleres Velilla - the manufacturer of Movex truck mounted lifts. In 1997 he switched to Europart - a division of forklift dealer Alfaland - where he was appointed product manager of its aerial work platform operations.
In 1999 he joined Genie as sales manager for Spain and Portugal and was instrumental in setting up its Iberian operation in 2001 as general manager Iberia. In 2005 he was promoted to sales director for Southern Europe and North Africa and was involved with Genie’s two way OEM supply deal with Manitou, becoming product and business development manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2010. He left Genie in 2012 for rental group Lavendon where he was vice president international sales, before setting up a freelance consulting business.
