Lack of harness kills tree trimmer

A 47-year old man from La Crosse Wisconsin died on Friday after he fell around 17 metres from the truck mounted aerial lift he was working from.

The man was trimming trees when one of the branches he had cut struck the cage causing him to be thrown from the cage; he was not wearing a harness.

The man was pronounced dead on arrival at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, his name has been withheld until his family has been notified.
