UK's first MJE250

Multitel has delivered a 25 metre MJE250 telescopic truck mounted platform to PG Platforms, this first of this new model to arrive in the UK.

Mounted on a 3.5 tonne Iveco Daily chassis, the MJE250 was launched in 2021, but has been updated since then with additional tech. It features a five section telescopic aluminium boom topped by a jib with 180 degrees of articulation, all of which provides a working height of 24.7 metres a maximum outreach of 16.5 metres with a 100kg in the platform, while the maximum capacity of 250kg is available at up to 12.5 metres of outreach.

With fully extended boom it is also possible to work up to 3.5 metres below ground level, while the platform has 240 degrees of rotation - 120° + 120° allowing work around obstacles.

The new machine includes Multitel Pagliero’s Evolved Electronic (EVE) with MUSA X and Telemetry system and variable outrigger set up with automatic working envelope calculation. The new machine joins a number of other Multitel platforms in the company’s fleet, having been a customer of the Italian manufacturer for several years.

Steve Cutting and son Charlie said: The outrigger set up and large working area are among the MJE250's features that impressed us. It’s an ideal machine to hire for companies in the construction, maintenance, renovation and installation sectors, as well as those involved in plant engineering, cleaning and green maintenance.”

Based in Snodland, Kent PG is celebrating 40 years in business this year, a bittersweet anniversary because founder Phil Cutting sadly passed away in May.
The PG Platforms name dates from 1984, although Phil Cutting had started out a few years earlier as a one man band, his son Steve, joined his father in 1992, and they moved to the current premises in 2015, while a second location was opened in Bolney, near Haywards Heath in West Sussex. Steve’s son Charlie joined the business in 2018 as a truck mounted lift operator. The business covers Greater London and the South East region of England.
