Bardonaro moves to Brock

Crane veteran Frank Bardonaro has been appointed chief executive the Houston, Texas based industrial services company, Brock group.

He joins the company from Yak Access where he has been chief executive since September and departs following its sale to United Rentals. His crane career began in 1988 when he joined Bain Capital and was appointed operations manager of Maxim Crane. Moving to crane rental company Amquip in 2001 as chief operating officer and then chief executive also taking a stake in the business.

In 2010 he resigned and joined Terex as managing director of Terex Cranes in the Americas and was promoted to managing director global sales the following year. In 2012 he moved back to Maxim Crane Works as president of sales and business development and then chief operating officer, leaving in 2021 for ArborWorks, before making the move to YAK last September.
Brock is owned by private equity firm American Industrial Partners and offers a wide range of services from routine maintenance to scaffold access, painting and insulation etc to plants ranging from petrochemical and refining to power generation, offshore, pipelines, transmission, nuclear power, pulp and paper, LNG, and pharmaceutical companies across the United States and Canada. With approximately $1.3 billion in revenue and around 13,000 employees.

Executive chairman Kevin Garland said: "We are extremely pleased to have Frank join us as the new CEO for Brock. His extensive leadership experience in some of the same industrial end markets that are served by Brock will allow him to acclimate quickly and accelerate the key growth initiatives that the company is pursuing."

Brock began as the Service Painting Company of Beaumont in 1947, a coatings/paint services company serving industrial facilities in Beaumont, Texas and the surrounding areas. Over the years it gradually diversified to become a leading provider of specialty services to some of the largest refineries, chemical plants, utilities, and pulp and paper facilities.
