Two big Genie's in a week

On of Genie UK's local dealers, Working At Height, has sold two Genie Z135's in a week. The first went to the UK's largest news print paper manufacturer and the second to the new O2 Arena (formerly the Millennium Dome).

Marketing manager Paul Whittle is understandably delighted: "Selling one giant articulating fully self-propelled boom to an end user in the UK is a rarity, to sell two in a week is a first and probably a last in the UK. Its a real feather in the cap for our business."

The 02 Arena also took delivery of a further four smaller Genie platforms - an AWP, GR-20 Runabout, GS-2632 scissor lift and Z45/25J boom platform - to help maintain the 24,000 capacity London venue and give access to the rigging in the main arena with lighting and sound that is already being credited as the best in the world.

The Z135 has a platform height of 41.15 metres (135ft), a maximum horizontal outreach of 21.26metres (60ft 9in) and a 227kg basket capacity.
