Chinese manufacturer LGMG has recruited two new telehandler sales and service managers as part of the European launch programme.
The company announced its intention to enter the European telehandler market at Intermat, earlier this year, with the launch of an 18 metre/4,000kg H1840 and is now putting the support organisation in place. LGMG’s telehandler range includes six models, with lift heights ranging from six to 17.6 metres, aimed at the Construction/ rental market. The H1840, will be on display at Vertikal Days in September.
The company has appointed Carlo Forini as telehandler sales director for western Europe, he joins the company after working for the past two years as a freelance consultant.
He began his career in 1995 as an export area manager for furniture manufacturer ISA Italy, entering the crane industry a year later
when he joined Terex as a product general manager. Over the following 19 years, he moved up through a number of roles, including a spell with Terex Port Handling, before joining Genie /Terex AWP as product director Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, based at the Genie Europe offices in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
In 2016 he left the industry in order to move back to Italy, where he took up a roles as general manager and sales director at Sanrocco Glass, after three years with the company he moved to agricultural machinery manufacturer Agco in a similar role. In 2020, he rejoined the lift industry when he was appointed general manager at Manitex / Oil & Steel, two years later he took a job as chief sales officer at environmental test chamber manufacturer Angelantoni Test Technologies, leaving after a few months to begin his consulting business.

At the same time Gaetano Gallo has also been joined LGMG as telehandler service manager, having spent the last nine and half years at Skyjack where he was a service manager.
Gallo began his career around 24 years ago as a welding instructor in Belgium before leaving for JLG in 2002, initially as a pre delivery equipment inspector, working through various roles, over the next 10 years, until heading the pre delivery equipment inspection department.
After a short period in the food industry with Europa Cuisson, he joined a social business centre helping individuals gain employment skills, leaving for Skyjack in 2015.
