Two new product directors for Genie

Terex AWP/Genie has promoted Carlo Forini and Sebastian Umbreit to new European product director positions.

Forini has been appointed director of business development and product management for the European, Middle East Africa region, reporting to regional managing director Joe George. He will be based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

Carlo Forini

In this newly created role, he will be responsible with working with other company departments to develop and implement a regional product line strategy, as well as identifying and evaluating opportunities to expand the European business.

Forini joined Terex Lift in 1998 as factory export manager and has held a number of positions including sales director for Terex Lift, global product general manager, Terex/Genie, and most recently general manager of Terex Port Solutions, Italy.

At the same time Sebastian Umbreit moves to senior director operations and aftermarket for Europe Africa & the Middle East also reporting to Joe George, he will be based at Roosendaal, the Netherlands.

Sebastian Umbreit

Umbreit will be responsible for setting strategy and managing most of Terex AWP/Genie’s European Distribution Centre functions, as well as regional technical services, customer quality assurance, parts and service, sales and support as well as health and safety/environmental issues. He will also be responsible for implementation of Genie Service Solutions.

Joe George said: “During his previous role as aftermarket service director Sebastian was a pioneer of the Genie Service Solutions concept which will add value to our customers’ business by leaving them to focus on optimising our machines’ utilisation and providing excellent customer service. With Sebastian’s leadership, Genie Service Solutions will help them to achieve that.”
