Skyjack moves into Sweden

Skyjack has agreed to purchase the assets of N-C Liftteknik AB, its Swedish distributor, which also trades under the Nordic Lift name. The company has also sold CTE and Snorkel lift products in Sweden.

Skyjack will operate the new company as a wholly owned subsidiary, with the objective to increase sales of Skyjack booms and scissor lifts throughout the Nordic region. Nordic Lift was founded in the mid 1980's.

Skyjack says that this new acquisition allows it to sell directly to the major rental companies in the region, while ensuring the after sales support levels. It will also add to Skyjack’s geographic coverage..

“The addition of N-C Liftteknik opens up another large sales market for our Skyjack business,” said Linda Hasenfratz, Linamar chief executive “The Goteborg, location adds to Skyjack’s well established distribution network and will assist to increase Skyjack’s market share world wide.”

Vertikal Comment

Skyjack has done well in Europe over the years but has never managed to move out from a very narrow geographical base. This acquisition should give it a firm foundation in Scandinavia from which it can duplicate what it has achieved in the UK.

Assuming that the acquisition gets off to a good start, expect to see further moves of this nature.
