Strategic head for Hewden

Hewden, has appointed Stephen Cormack as head of Strategic accounts, working on business development with the national and regional strategic account teams.

Cormack’s specific remit is to handle negotiations with the major contractors for major equipment supply deals and to develop new business initiatives.

Hewden did look within the equipment industry, but also made a point of looking for sales professionals with the right blend of experience from further afield.

Cormack comes from the drinks industry, where he has followed a career in sales roles such as national account controller for Britvic, general manager for the Tenanted sector at Bass and most recently London sales director for Coors beer.

Mike Penn, Hewden’s sales and marketing director said: “The head of strategic accounts is a vital role for us and we were determined to talent scout the right person from a rich pool of candidates. Stephen’s background is from the brewing and drinks industry, but this sector has a reputation for recruiting and training some of the best sales personnel in the UK."
