Italian telehandler manufacturer Merlo has received the PEF (Premio Eccellenza Formazione) literally Training Excellence Award - for its training and research company - CFRM, recognising best practices in learning and organisational development. The centre has been led by managing director Paolo Peretti since 2012.
Between 2023 and 2024 Merlo saw 1,312 students, pass through the programme held at its training centre in Cuneo, northern Italy, with guided tours and seminars, on topics like marketing, safety, hydraulics, and telescopic handler technology. It also provides cross curricular skill development, career guidance, and machinery operator certification courses.

The award ceremony was held at Sermig, Arsenale della Pace in Turin, northwest Italy, with Marco Vigini jury president of the Italian Association for Personnel Management presenting the awards. It was organised by the AIF (Italian Association of Trainers) to promote best training practices from companies, institutions, and freelancers.
