To catch a thief

The specialist UK police division - the National Construction & Agriculture Theft Team (NCATT) - has warned rental companies about an equipment thief, the man has been renting equipment – mostly telehandlers for delivery to sites all over the UK.

He operates under the name of John Watt, a director at Brook Star Ltd of Barcroft Street, Bury, Lancashire, BL9. The contact details given are [email protected] with a mobile number of 07768 177635.
The company exists and one of the directors is John Watt, but we assume that the fraudster has stolen the company’s identity or is just using it to trick companies that only do a cursory check.

He has already rented a number of telehandlers which have since disappeared without trace.

NCATT is urging anyone that has supplied equipment to this man to collect it as soon as possible. Hopefully it will still be on site. And if you receive a call check it's the real company.
