Chinese aerial lift and telehandler manufacturer Sinoboom has appointed Tim Barnett as product manager for telehandlers.
He joins the company after a year as director at business consulting company, NM Sparrow Consulting. Barnett began his career with Ford in 2000, where he worked as a design, development and engineer at its Basildon Radiator plant, before moving to JCB in 2003 as a technology transfer lead at JCB research-Loughborough University.
At the end of 2007, he took a job with Charles Fellowes as a consultant providing recruitment search services for financial and professional services firms, rejoining JCB the following year as a senior development engineer rising to chief engineer of excavators before his move to NM Sparrow in January 2024.
Sinoboom chief executive Susan Xu said: “I am delighted to welcome Tim to the Sinoboom family. Tim brings a wealth of over 20 years of engineering and new product introduction experience to Sinoboom, and I know that Tim will build upon and enhance our telehandler product development programs.”
Barnett added: “I am truly honoured to be joining Sinoboom at this exciting point in their telehandler product development cycle. I look forward to driving the voice of the customer into both our designs and support services to ensure that Sinoboom delivers efficient and innovative machines, whilst ensuring the high levels of customer support through both our own subsidiaries and distribution network.”
