Cadman will run the crane on HVO fuel - consistent with the other units in its fleet - which is in line with Cadman’s stated goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2025. The company began transitioning its fleet to HVO fuel in 2020 and completed the process by the end of last year.

Matt Waddingham, managing director of Cadman said: “This new Liebherr crane is a game changer for our fleet. With its substantial capacity, reach, and ability to tackle large and complex lifting projects, the LTM 1230-5.1 expands our lifting capabilities and highlights our commitment to delivering both power and sustainability. It’s an honour to introduce this flagship crane to our clients and to lead the way in environmentally responsible lifting solutions.”

Established in 2005, Cadman Cranes is part of the UK based Milbank investment group. It runs a fleet of All Terrain, crawler and truck cranes with capacities ranging from seven to 230 tonnes from its location in Colchester, Essex.
