Falling beam fatality

Police are investigating the death of Colin Dickson, 37, from Scotland who was killed at a Berkshire waste incinerator construction site on Wednesday.

Dickson, a crane installer with Kone Cranes, died after he was crushed by a falling steel beam weighing around 2.5 tonnes.

Kone was working for Takuma, the main contractor responsible for constructing the plant. Client Lakeside Energy from Waste Limited, said “that it is deeply distressed by this event and extends its sincere condolences to the man's family".
