US based low level lift manufacturer Hy-Brid Lifts/Custom Equipment has appointed David Porter as vice president sales and marketing.
His new job will include responsibility for managing the North American sales team and focusing on opportunities for further growth and product development. He will also be responsible for creating new marketing initiatives and setting up a dedicated product support team.
He joins the company from Sany America, where he was director of strategic accounts for the past two years, have been recruited in 2020 as a regional business manager.
He began his equipment related career in the rental industry with RSC, and in 2006 was made a branch manager at United Rentals in Marylan, after seven and a half years with the company he moved to a similar role with H&E Rentals in Baltimore. In 2017 he made the move into manufacturing joining Genie as a regional sales manager, leaving for Sany as Covid hit in early 2020.
Speaking of his latest role Porter said: “When Hy-Brid reached out, I was thrilled about the opportunity. The chance to work with a smaller, family owned manufacturer based in the US was a significant draw for me. Hy-Brid’s well established products and strong customer relationships create an exciting platform to enhance our current partnerships and build new ones. I firmly believe in treating others as you wish to be treated, and I’ll bring that philosophy to my role here at Hy-Brid.”
Chief executive Eric Liner added: “David’s approach to building relationships will greatly benefit our customers. As we expand our product line and enter new markets, David’s leadership will be crucial in solidifying Hy-Brid Lifts’ standing in the aerial lift industry.”
Custom Equipment – Hy-Brid lifts is majority owned by Turkish construction and agricultural equipment manufacturing group, Asko Holding since it was acquired last September. Asko also owns Turkish aerial lift manufacturer ELS and telehandler manufacturer MST.
