Now that’s a fossil

A 500,000 year old fossil of a mammoths tusk was unearthed this week in downtown San Diego, California. Brewer Crane and Rigging were called in to lift the fossil from the site and load it on transport for removal.

The company supplied a Demag All Terrain for the job. The tusk was encased in plaster and wrapped in a cloth prior to being rigged with web slings. Click here to watch video
