UK based access rental company Blade Access has appointed John Chandler as business development manager.
He joins the company from JCB Access where he has been sales director since the start of 2021, we understand that he and the company parted on relatively amicable terms, and that he was looking for a new challenge.
Chandler began his career in 2006 as a national account manager with the rental division of Wolseley, leaving for a similar role at HSS Hire in 2008. In 2012 he returned to Wolseley for 10 months until he was recruited by Genie in 2013 as UK national accounts manager and was promoted to UK and Ireland regional sales manager in 2016. He left the company the following year to join JCB as national access sales manager but returned to Genie in 2018, moving back to JCB at the end of 2020.
Blade is based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, but operates nationally and is best known for its truck mounted platform rental feel which runs from 3.5 tonne - 20 metre self-drive units up to the 90 metre Ruthmann T900HF. However, is also offers spider lifts up to 40 metres along with large boom and scissor lifts.
