UK rental company Southern Cranes has taken delivery of its third four tonne Hoeflon C10e electric spider crane.
The new crane takes Southern's Hoeflon electric crane fleet to five units, topped by the manufacturer’s largest model, the eight tonne C30e.
The C10e has a maximum tip height of 22 metres and a radius of 19 metres, at which it can handle 209kg. The compact crane has an overall length of 4.2 metres and an overall stowed width of 800mm. The new crane was supplied with full specification, including the hydraulic luffing jib and wire rope hoist.

The C10e features a LiFePO4 lithium battery pack with typical eight hour run time, the unit can also be operated while plugged in and recharged on regular single-phase outlets or high power charging stations up to 2,390W.
The crane is operated from a full remote controller and includes Hoeflon’s multi-position outrigger set up system and hydraulic counterweight extension. The counterweight is easily removed to reduce the transport weight to 3,260kg.
