Brazilian port adds reach stackers

Brazilian port operator Eudmarco has taken delivery of two 45 tonne Konecranes reach stackers for its terminal at the Port of Santos - an SMV 4638 TC6H and a Liftace 4532 TC5.

The SMV 4638 TC6H can stack up to six high capacity containers in the first row and five in the second row, while the Liftace 4532 TC5 can stack up to five high in the first row and four in the second. The machines feature the latest driveline technology, providing up to 10 percent fuel savings compared to previous models. They are also equipped with Konecranes' Truconnect telematics, allowing remote monitoring through the customer portal and inspection system.

José Wenes, administrative manager at parent company ABA Infraestrutura e Logística said: "We really appreciate the quality of Konecranes equipment and the support provided by the company. We're very happy to make our operations more eco-efficient with Konecranes' new fuel saving technology."

The powerful technology package we've customised for the Port of Santos terminal will enable higher productivity and efficiency, with lower fuel consumption and fewer emissions."

Based in Santos, Eudmarco operates container handling services at South America's largest port.
