Sany Marine has shipped the first two dual-trolley automated ship to shore cranes to PSA Singapore - the delivery is part of a seven unit crane order for the port operator.

The automated STS cranes feature a 65 tonne spreader capacity with a 35 metre rail gauge. It has a 73 metres forward reach, 22 metres back reach, and 55 metre lift height above rail level with 23 metres below rail capability. Trolley travel spans 26.5 metres on the seaside and 26.7 metres on the landside.

Automation features include more than 10 high precision scanners and over 50 high definition cameras creating a three dimensional perception network for container positioning. The smart control system can also calculates optimal trolley movement paths to improve operational efficiency.
The new RTGs
Sany Marine has simultaneously dispatched 10 rubber tired gantry (RTGs) cranes to PSA's wharf. The RTG’s offer a 41 tonne lifting capacity and a lifting height of 18.2 metres.
The manufacturer operates a 500,000 square metre assembly facility capable of accommodating 24 ship to shore cranes and 40 RTG cranes for simultaneous assembly and commissioning.
