M.E Cranes conference to become annual event

The Middle East Cranes conference held in February this year is all set to repeat in 2008. It will be held at the Shangri-La hotel, Dubai, UAE January 30-31. UAE-based crane rental company Al Jaber has signed up as event partner for 2008.

At the same time the organisers, Cranes Today, have announced that the conference is scheduled for the brand-new Shangri-La Hotel in Abu Dhabi for 2009.

This year’s conference was attended by over 200 people and the feedback we received was extremely positive.

Vertikal Comment

With so many cranes working in the UAE under contractors from all over the world, it made good sense to hold a conference there. While the build up to Bauma prevented us attending, the feedback we received was extremely positive.

Several delegates reported that it was one of the few ‘seminars’ that actually had an immediate impact on safety thanks to the level of officials attending and the heated debate that followed some presentations.

We hope to attend this year’s function in order to report back first hand.
