The Newt, an estate and hotel in Somerset in the South West of England has purchased a 30 metre CMC S30 spider lift for use in maintaining the historic buildings, including Hadspen House, a large Georgian building which dates back to 1687, or earlier, when it was a farmhouse.

Over the years it has been expanded and remodelled, with the current building dating from extensive work carried out in 1767 and 1786 and most recently 1886. In 2019, new owners converted the buildings into a luxury hotel. As a result of its age and complexity it requires a great deal of upkeep. The lift will be also used extensively in the 800 acres of parkland, orchards, and gardens.
