Manitou to launch tractor telehandler

Manitou is planning to launch a Hybrid Agricultural telehandler at Hanover’s Agritechnica in mid November. The new machine will essentially be a telescopic boomed tractor. Borrowing heavily from the company’s Manihoe backhoe loader.

The Manitou Manihoe

The Manitrac will have a rigid chassis, four-wheel drive and steer, a centrally positioned cab with central mounted telescopic boom, rear hydraulic linkage and PTO.

Production is likely to commence in late 2008, early 2009.

Vertikal Comment

Manitou will most certainly be aiming this new priduct at Merlo's Multifarmer which has been very successful in some markets.

It will be interesting to see what the company with the product to top the Merlo product which has been refined considerably since it was first introduced.
