MSD goes with Vanson

MSD equipment Darlington, County Durham, UK, has purchased a VC42 self erecting tower crane from Vanson cranes fro its crane hire fleet. The unit has already been delivered to its first contract on a three storey apartment block in Darlington.

MSD Equipment’s managing director, Steve Gaylor, said: “As part of our crane hire package, we have been cross hiring self-erecting tower cranes to our customers, but recognised the need to improve the quality of product on offer.

MSD's Vanson VC42 self erecting tower crane

We had found that the cranes we were re-hiring were not ideal for our needs and often the reliability wasn’t as good as we would have liked. We decided to take a good look around to see what was available, so that we could purchase our own crane. Thus ensuring that our customers would get the very best product available in terms of reliability and operating efficiencies.

“We selected Vanson’s VC42 due to the quality of its engineering and its operational features which will give our customers the benefits of speed of operation, low operating costs and reduced handling costs.

In particular we were impressed with its finish, which we felt was better than the other products we had looked at when we visited this year’s SED show. Particularly the galvanised protection of the structure."
