Laplume joins IPAF

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has appointed Isabelle Laplume as its new representative for France and French-speaking Switzerland with immediate effect.

Based in Paris, Laplume takes over from Bernard Volut, who will hand over all duties at the end of the year. IPAF thanks Volut for his immense contribution in starting up IPAF’s activities in France.

Laplume was previously employed by Haulotte, where for nine years she was responsible for the company’s marketing and corporate communications. She left the company shortly after Bauma as part of a personal relocation to Paris.

At IPAF she will also have the opportunity to use her extensive experience in organising international exhibitions and will manage IPAF’s stand at Conexpo 2008 in Las Vegas.

Tim Whiteman, IPAF managing director said: “IPAF has invested a lot of time and effort in preparing the groundwork in France, this is the right moment to market the advantages of our specialist operator training programme, which meets legal requirements and international standards. The programme is open to suitably qualified rental companies and other institutions and we are looking for partners to make it widely available in France.”

Outlining her plans, Laplume said: “I am very keen to take up new challenges with IPAF and to bring safety into the consciousness of the industry. November will see IPAF-France with a stand at Batimat – an important step to move us forward.”
