SAIE opens today

SAIE, the big show in Bologna Italy opened to rain today, but it does not appear to have put many visitors off, and the exhibitors have plenty of new products and developments to show off.

First new products we spotted this morning included:

- A new 17 metre telescopic boom lift from GSR, the E179T, on a 3.5 tonne truck with 12 metres outreach.

- A new articulated truck mounted boom from Pagliero extending the MX range to 27 metres – The MX270D. The unit at the show is mounted on a five tonne truck to meet Italian self drive rules, and offers 13 metres outreach and according to Pagliero has an attractive price.

-A massive new 225 tonne/metres articulated loader crane from Cormach designed for industrial moving, the 225000 E9. with a 45 tonne lift capacity at 4.5 metres and 50 metres of hydraulic boom.

- Imai showed its upgraded Jekko SPD500 spider mini crane. The company is currently in the process of setting up sales company Jekko UK to sell its increased manufacturing capacity of 15 cranes per month.

- Barin showed off its impressive AP 73/35J2 truck platform with a maximum height of 73 metres and outreach of 35 metres. No dealer yet in the UK but the company is looking.

CTE launched several new truck mounted platforms including the 20.8 metre working height Z21 and the 19 metre, 230kg capacity Z19.
