Knorr managing director, Isa Karaxha said: “A 130 tonne crane wouldn’t have made any difference to us. A 150 tonne crane certainly will. And if we’re going to buy a Liebherr, we’re going to do it properly and go for the most modern model. Furthermore, the purchase of our first Liebherr crane represents a clear commitment to ‘made in Germany’. We’re proud to now have a Liebherr crane in our fleet for the first time.”
Knorr Kranverleih was founded by Engelbert Knorr in 1972, and is based in Hollenstedt on the A1 highway between Hamburg and Bremen. Today it is run by second generation family members Isa and Jutta Karaxha, supported by a team of nine employees, while a third generation of the family is now coming on board. The comapny has become something of a specialist when it comes to erecting prefabricated buildings, from smaller wooden homes to large concrete industrial buildings/
