IPAF Elevation football

IPAF held its UK Elevation event yesterday at St Georges Park the training grounds and ‘home of English football’, in Burton on Trent in the English Midlands.

The presentations at the event started with IPAF chief executive Peter Douglas updating members on the organisation's progress and achievements, followed by presentations focused on theft, fraud, and scams.

Speakers included Liz Murray, of cyber security organisation SASIG (Security Awareness Special Interest Group), along with Andrew Huddleston and Chris Piggott of the National Police Construction and Agri Theft Team.
The Panel discussion

They were followed by Jim and Dan Haigh, along with Wendie Walke of IPAF member Eagle Platforms, discussing how they were defrauded and the lessons they learned from the harrowing event. See: Fallen Eagle

With England playing the Democratic Republic of Congo in the first knockout round of the World Cup, all stopped at 17.00 to watch the match, which was followed by dinner with former Liverpool and West Ham defender Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock speaking about resilience, wellbeing and personal growth.
